INDIGO & OIL

Chiang Mai, Thailand
2017

Taylor's first artwork about climate change was in response to Hurricane Katrina in 2005.  A lover of Jazz and Blues music, she started a series of blue artworks a decade later partly to reference New Orleans. Taylor dyed her linen panels using organic indigo in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The first exhibition of these artworks was opened in 2016 at Baan Tuek Art Centre, Chiang Mai, N. Thailand with a night of Blues sung by local Thai musicians. A second exhibition in 2017 completed the series about air pollution and cheap flights in Asia. It was also held at Baan Tuek Art Centre, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
